New Forest Holidays

Home

Welcome to New Forset Holidays, set in the beautiful ancient forest of myth and mystery.

We offer welcoming accommodation within the grounds of the medieval hunting lodge (Ladycross) - set in the forest that was designated as a Royal hunting ground for the exclusive use of King William I (1066 - 1087). A series of Royal lodges were quickly established to provide food and shelter for the King's party.

As the centuries past, an elaborate organisation grew up to maintain and protect the forest on behalf of the Crown.

From the earliest records Ladycross lodge is identified as the principle lodges in the New Forest.

Given its site, the early house was timber framed and records show a continuous process of repair and renewal.

The crown finally sold Ladycross in the seventies. Its present owners have beautifully transformed the lodge and the grounds, without destroying the tranquillity of this romantic and historic site.

We hope that you, your horse and your party will also make use of our cottage, stables, pond, barbecue area and excellent facilities, which are set within the tranquil grounds of Ladycross Lodge.
